Sunshine Speech offers speech therapy for children, including natural language acquisition for autistic children or gestalt language learners. We also specialize in working with children with hearing loss, apraxia of speech, feeding disorders, and speech or language delays. We can assist in trialing high-tech AAC devices to support communication.
The cost of a speech therapy session varies based on the type and length of services provided. We offer competitive pricing and discounts on bill packages. We also take HSA payments and work with no cost programs for children including Early Steps, Step Up Scholarship, and DSAJ. Please contact us for more information on our fees and payment options.
At this time, Sunshine Speech does not take insurance. Cash rates are competitive with insurance copays, and discounts are available for session packages.
We contract with Early Steps of Northeast Florida to offer free services to children under three and with the Step Up for Students scholarship program for children ages three through 21. Additionally we are a proud partner of the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville (DSAJ) and active members may use their funds for therapy services.
Yes! We now offer clinic-based speech sessions inside Hope Haven. This space allows us to use features such as a sensory gym, outdoor playground, handicap-accessible restrooms with adult-size changing tables, and door locks to keep your littlest ones safe. Our clinic hours are limited to the afternoons, but we will continue to expand them as we grow!
We have proudly provided high-quality mobile speech therapy services for several years. As our practice has grown, so has the demand for services. To continue delivering the best care possible, we are now shifting to a clinic-based model for all new patients.
While we are no longer accepting new mobile patients outside of Early Steps, we remain committed to serving our community. We will continue providing services through Early Steps, which may take place in the home or other natural environments, depending on the child’s needs and eligibility.
